Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 7 wkts

DUBAI: Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday in the 7th edition of the IPL.

Winning the toss and batting first, Mumbai Indians set a target of 142 for Chennai, mainly due to a 41 ball 50 by skipper R.Sharma.

MM Sharma was the chief wicket taker for Chennai getting 4-14. BW Hilfenhaus was the other wicket taker with 2-39.

In reply Chennai reached the target in the 19th over losing just 3 wickets in the process. BB McCullum was the star for the winners scoring 71 off 53 balls with 8x4s and 2x6s. DR Smith(29) and F du Plessis(20) also batted well.

Harbhajan Singh got 2-27 in his 4 overs for Mumbai Indians.

MM Sharma was declared player of the match for his bowling exploits.
