It’s my desire to serve Pakistan cricket: Saqlain

LAHORE: There has been a tough contest between former spinners Mushtaq Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq for the post of a spin bowling consultant of the Pakistan cricket team.

Off-spinner Saqlain, who was well known for his invention of ‘Doosra’, said that he hoped that the advertisement by the Pakistan Cricket Board would not prove just a formal activity.

Saqlain, who is presently residing in England, has earned a rich coaching experience working with the teams of Bangladesh, New Zealand and the West Indies.

Saqlain said that he wanted to serve Pakistan cricket and he applied with the same zeal for the posts of head coach and spin bowling consultant.

He said that he was hopeful that the PCB would certainly take advantage of his talent.
