NEW DELHI: Hundreds of flag-waving supporters mobbed Indian prime minister-elect Narendra Modi as he arrived in New Delhi on Saturday, smiling and flashing victory signs after his party´s crushing poll victory.
Modi, 63, flew to Delhi´s main airport from his home state of Gujarat shortly before 11:00 am (0530 GMT) to bask in the glory of a landslide for his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party that secured the biggest win by a single party in 30 years.
