ISLAMABAD: Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai said on Thursday that democracy in Pakistan was under threat.
Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, Achakzai said it is necessary to deal with all individuals who are trying to destablise democracy.
Achakzai called on the government to convene a joint session of Parliament or an All Parties Conference (APC) to deal with these threats.
The PMAP chief also demanded that Dr Tahirul Qadri should be arrested and sent back to Canada upon his arrival in Pakistan.
