Jang Group has no links to Canada’s weekly; refrain from spreading propaganda; legal action will be taken against those who misuse Jang’s name: Jang Adm

Karachi: Jang Group has no links to the Canadian weekly newspaper “Jang Canada” nor does Jang Group have anything to do with the news items published in the said weekly.

Recently, “Weekly Jang Canada” printed a news item saying that Pakistan was even more extremist than Israel and that Hamas was the real murderer of the Palestinians. This news item has been used to start propaganda against the Jang Group sentiments on Social Media.

Immediately after, Jang Group’s administration clearly denied any link to ‘Weekly Jang Canada’.

The Jang Administration emphasized that it has absolutely no connection to the Weekly Jang Canada, which is taken out by a Mississauga, Canada-based journalist Mirza Yaseen Baig, who has no link to the Jang Group in any way.

The Jang Group is taking legal action through Trade Mark Lawyers against said weekly and its owner Mirza Yaseen Baig for the misuse of its brand name.

Jang Group is Pakistan’s largest and most responsible media group. It has always championed the cause of the Palestinians and given its voice to their cause and has always condemned Israel for its actions against the people of Palestine.

Those using this anti-Palestine news published in Jang Canada to malign Jang Group on Social Media should stop doing so otherwise the Group has the right to take legal action against them.

For a long time now, propaganda based on rumours has been spreading against the Jang Group to give the group a negative image. Certain people have been appointed to keep this rumour mill alive against Jang and Geo Group.

Sometimes Jang Group is accused of being America’s and Israel’s ally and is linked with RAW. At other times, news printed in Hindustan Times is attributed to the Jang Group.
If nothing else, these rumour mongers weave lies against Jang Group claiming it is working against religion.

Now, the same group has come up with a malicious plan that involves a Canadian-based weekly ‘Jang Canada’ – falsely portrayed as part of the Jang Group - and an anti-Palestine story printed in it. These people are trying to pin the blame of this story on Jang Group, even though it has clearly said it has no link to the said weekly.
