South Asia Democracy Watch member passes away
DALLAS: US based NGO South Asia Democracy watch board member and President of Karakoram Siraj Butt mother passed away in Pakistan after a heart attack, she was 83 years old.

She had returned to Pakistan from the United States. She left behind five sons and seven daughters.

She was buried in the cemetery of Rehman Pura Astoro in Gilgat. In the United States, the Prominent community of political leaders of Dallas Fort Worth including leaders from Democratic Party, Muslim Democratic Caucus, and South Asia Democracy Watch offered condolences to her son Siraj Butt and other family members.

Muslim Democratic Caucus Chairman Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Aftab Siddiqui chairman Muslim Center for Human Services , South Asia Democracy Watch President Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Raja Muzaffar Kashmiri Attorney Tauseef Kamal, Asif Effendi, Dr. Pirtpal Singh, Ghulam Nabi Kalwar, Amir Ali Makhani, Pakistan American Association of Texas President Dr Amir Sulaiman, Dr. Javeed Ajmal, Naeem Chaudhry, Ghulam Wariach, Saeed Qureshi, Shah Alam and others offered condolences . A large number of political activists from Pakistan, US and Gilgit Baltistan called Siraj Butt and prayed for the departed soul.

Siraj Butt thanked the community members and friends for their prayers and support in this difficult time for him and his family.
