LAHORE: Police have lodged a case against Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, and his guards for allegedly killing a youth on Wednesday, sources said.
The Police said that a guard escorting Gilnai opened fire on Tahir in the midst of a scuffle in Defence area of the provincial capital. The family of the slain staged a protest placing the dead body on the road. The heirs accused Gilani’s guards of killing the boy.
Taking notice of the incident, Punjab Chief Minster Shahbaz Sharif sought a police report and ordered action against elements responsible.
Source told Geo News that the FIR 948/144 was lodged at Defence A Division Police Station on behalf of Tanvir Javed, father of the deceased.
