Saud, Noorwali take Karachi Dolphins U-19 into semis

MIRPUR: Karachi Dolphins U-19 beat Peshawar Panthers U-19 by 87 runs to reach the semi final of the Inter regions U-19s ODI tournament.

Karachi won the toss and scored 308 in 50 overs losing 6 wickets in the process. Main architects of this mammoth total were skipper Saud Shakeel scoring a brilliant 134 and Noorwali who got an undefeated 83.

In reply Peshawar were dismissed for 221 in the 49th over falling short by 87 runs.
Wreckers in chief for Karachi were M.Asghar 3-35 and Saif 3-45.

In another quarter final Karachi Zebras U-19 got the better of Lahore Lions U-19 to go into the semi finals.

Batting first Lahore could manage only 146 with only opener Mohammad Naeem (51) getting a notable score.

Ghulam Hussain 3-23 and Alam Khursheed Shah 3-34 bowled well for the Zebras.

Karachi chased down the total in just 28.1 overs with Shahzar Hasan scoring 46 and Danish Aziz getting an unbeaten 50.
