SHEIKHUPURA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters celebrated lead of their candidate in PP-162 by-polls vote count with aerial firing and openly displaying the weapons, Geo News reported.
The PML-N supporters can been seen openly violating the law of the land as they resorted to aerial firing while the police remained silent spectator.
The PP-162 seat fell vacant following the death of Muhammad Khuram Gulfam on 22nd July.
The official results of by-elections were yet to be announced as the vote count was underway, however, according to unofficial results, PML-N candidate was leading.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has issued orders for the arrest of those who resorted to aerial firing in an hour.
