KARACHI: At least five suspects were killed in a police encounter in Quaidabad area of the city on Friday.
Two police officials were also injured in the shootout at Swati Muhalla of Quaidabad.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar said police commandos were also called in to cope with the situation.
He said that the exchange of fire started between police and the suspects during a raid at a residential address.
The officer said that the suspects were affiliated with a proscribed outfit.
