KARACHI: Splinter group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Jamaatul Ahrar, has claimed responsibility for the attack on the membership camp of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Orangi Town area of Karachi.

The group’s spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan on the micro-blogging website claimed the responsibility of cracker attack.

In his tweets, Ehsanullah Ehsan said the attack on MQM is the part of their drive against Awami National Party (ANP), MQM, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN). He added such attacks on these parties will continue.

On the other hand, MQM chief Altaf Hussain telephoned injured lawmakers and workers, and said that these cowardly attacks could not discourage the party men.
