Houston:Pakistanis protest over killings in Sindh
HOUSTON: The Sindhi Community of Houston under the umbrella of “Sindhi Association of North America” organized a peaceful Protest Rally in Houston Texas in front of the Consulate General of Pakistan.

Large number of crowd appeared in the rally. Also present in the Rally was individuals from “World Sindhi Congress”

The participants chanted slogans of “Human Right for Sindhi” "Sindhis want justice " " Stop killing Sindhi youth "

The President of SANA Mr. Jamil Daudi made a speech to the crowd condemning the elements that consider themselves above the law and operate with total impunity.

He further showed his displeasure over law enforcement agencies in Sindh. He suggested that these individuals cannot operate without the help of powerful people.

Mr. Mashooq Mallah suggested it was the responsibility of Pakistani government to investigate these horrendous crimes against mankind.

Ms. Noorunisa Ghanghro, gave a passionate speech about the role of government, she said it was the duty of patriotic Pakistanis to bring an end to this “madness”.

Mr. Zubair Bhanbhro recited a poetry stating the dead maybe not be with us, but their sacrifices and sprits will live forever with us.

Mr. Talpur suggested the Sindhis in United States should make every effort to highlight the “injustices” in Sindh.


The President and General Sectary of SANA Mr. Jamil Daudi and MS Noorunisa Ghanghro accompanied by the Cultural Sectary of “WSC" Mr. Zubair Bhanbhro and Mr. Umeed Laghari proceeded to meet with the Consulate General of Pakistan Mr. Afzaal Mahmood to hand him over a memorandum.

Consulate General of Pakistan was very gracious and invited Mr. Daudi Ms. Ghanghro, Mr. Laghari and Mr. Bhanbhro to discuss the concerns of these individuals.


The SANA and WSI representative were very satisfied with the meeting with Consulate General and intend to meet him again.
