Two more fall prey to drug reaction
LAHORE: Two more people lost their lives due to spurious drugs in the provincial capital's Services Hospital, while patients are being given the antidote (Folnic Acid), Geo News reported Thursday.

The doctors are hopeful that the health of the patients will improve.

More than 400 people are under treatment in various hospitals in Lahore.

Yesterday, experts with consultations developed the antidote after lab tests from London confirmed the presence of anti-malarial substance in one of the medicines administered to cardiac patients.

The Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) is still without its Chief Executive and Medical Superintendent after a period of four days affecting routine work in the facility.
