KOHAT: Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal) chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahmman Tuesday said that was yet not an independent country as it only changed masters from Britain to America, Geo News reported.
Addressing Istehkam-e-Pakistan rally here, he said that, back in the day former president Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf had told me to embrace the ugly fact “Pakistan was America’s slave.”
Lambasting Musharraf, he said that his anti-terrorism policies had endured without a change.
Fazal also saw rejection of parliamentary resolution dealing a blow to the integrity of the country.
He said corruption consumed many a government, but no government had ever been able to purge the country of this scourge.
JUI-F leader, lamenting the wide divide between the haves and have-nots, said that without reforming economic policies, poverty could never be alleviated.
