LAHORE: New Hajj policy will be chalked out by the end of the current month, the Lahore High Court (LHC) was informed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday.
The LHC was hearing a petition seeking formation of a Hajj policy that is in larger interest of the people besides ensuring fair distribution of the quota of Hajj tour operators.
The petitioner, Muhammad Siddique Advocate has pleaded before the court that the government be directed to make public the new Hajj policy so that people may know about it well in time. It also asked for making transparent the distribution of quota for Hajj tour operators.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till March 16.
