Two extortionists held: CCPO Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi police chief Akhtar Hussain Gorchani has said that four accused two of them involved in extortion have been arrested, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here Friday, CCPO said anti-extortion cell have received 15 complaints so far and arrested two accused.

Gorchani said the accused had demanded extortion from furniture market Arambagh and different markets of the metropolis, adding they had also killed son of a shopkeeper when he refused to provide money.

The accused have confessed of demanding extortion from eight complainants, he said.

Meanwhile, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) have arrested two bank heist accused and recovered two motorcycles and a repeater that was snatched from security guard of the bank, Aktar Hussain informed.
