Attorney General cannot cross-examine Mansoor Ijaz: Akram Sheikh

ISLAMABAD/LONDON: The meeting of the memo commission is under away at the Islamabad High Court. Mansoor Ijaz and Husain Haqqani are appearing before the memo commission via video link from the Pakistani High Commission in London.

During proceedings, the lawyer for Ijaz, Akram Sheikh said Attorney General Maulvi Anwar ul Haq could not cross-examine Mansoor Ijaz because he was representing the federal government, Army chief, DG ISI and the foreign, law and interior ministries.

The AG replied that he was appearing before the commission on orders of the Supreme Court to represent the government.
