Pakistan Day celebrated in Dallas, Houston

Houston: Pakistan Day was celebrated in American state of Texas where people in Dallas and Houston hosted events to celebrate the day.

Pakistani flag hoisting ceremony was hosted at Pakistani Consulate in Houston where Pakistani Americans and other notables of Houston attended the ceremony.

Flag hoisting was performed by Pakistani Consulate General in Houston M. Aqil Nadeem.

President of Pakistan Association of Greater Houston ( PAGH) Tasneem Siddiqui, President of Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) Aziz Siddiqui and known community leaders Khalid Khan, Sajjad Barky, Officer Muzafer Siddique, Gul Faraz Khan, Kamran Jeelani, Mohammad Hussain and other addressed the gathering and made presentation on the importance of creation of Pakistan and expressed their thankfulness said that Pakistan is a big bounty of God for Pakistani people.

On the other hand Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) North America organized a Pakistan Day and “28th Youm-e-Tasees of MQM” in Dallas which is second largest city of Texas.

The event was attended by a large number of men, women, children and youth. Youth group and children made presentations and speeches on this occasion includes Alia Irshad, Areeba, Talia Irshad, Abdul Raify and Seheryar. The event Stage secretary was

Shaiza Irshad, famous poets of Dallas, Younus Ejaz and Tariq Hashmi presented their thoughts on this occasion through their poetry.

The MQM North America central committee members , Irshad Kamali and Asad Siddiqui, MQM Houston leader Jamshed Warsi, Dallas leader Moghni Raza, Mirza Waqar Ahmed Baig, Imtiaz Ahsan and others also addressed the gathering and participated in cutting cake to commemorate the occasion.

MQM America’s central committee member Irshad Kamali addressing the gathering said that Quid e Tehreek Altaf Hussain mission is to run Pakistan in the light of Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and Allama Iqbal’s dreams.

He said that Altaf Hussain is truly deserving of Nobel prize for his struggle for peace.

Program ended with MQM, national and Pakistani patriotic songs. Children also cut the cake to celebrate the event.
