Woman among 3 killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Different firing incidents across the city claimed three more lives including a woman while security forces arrested six suspects during raid in Liaqatabad Thursday, Geo News reported.

According to police, unknown gunmen killed a cleric named Abdul Rehman in Banaras area of SITE while another man, identified as Asif, was gunned down in Garden.

A woman was also shot dead by the gunmen while resisting a robbery attempt. The deceased was identified as Unsar Bibi.

Rangers and police held six suspected persons while conducting a targeted operation in the C-One area of Liaqatabad.

On Wednesday, ten persons including a policeman were killed and eight others injured in various firing and torture incidents in the city.

A rickshaw driver was killed while two Rangers personnel and a woman were also critically injured in a blast near a Rangers' mobile van in Buffer Zone.
