ISLAMABAD: Another rain spell of monsoon season began from Wednesday as Islamabad and Rawalpindi received rains, turning the weather pleasant and decrease the temperature and humidity level to some extent.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, scattered rain/thunderstorm is also likely at different areas including Multan, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Kashmir as well as northern and hilly areas.

It is expected that the rain spell will become intense from Thursday and will continue till Saturday, the official said.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending southeast wards. Weak Monsoon currents are penetrating into Northeastern parts of the country and lower Sindh.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh, the weather will remain hot and dry, however, rain/thundershower is likely at isolated places of Hazara division, Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas during Evening/night.

The weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of Balochistan during next 24 hours.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, mostly partly cloudy weather is expected with chances of rain/thundershower at isolated places of Kashmir during Evening/Night.
