ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s trade deficit in the first month of the current fiscal year, July alone amounted to $1.60 billion, which as compared to previous year July figure higher by 4.7 percent, Geo News reported.
Pakistan Statistics Department said that the pace of Pakistan’s imports as against exports has been very high, as Pakistan imports in July-2012 amounted to $3.66 billion, while exports stood at $2.05 billion. Overall exports as compared to previous year July fell short by 4.6 percent, while imports only by 0.73 percent.
