QUETTA: Insurgents on Sunday night attacked Kalat and Panjgour areas of Balochistan with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), Geo News reported.
According to police, three RPGs, fired from nearby mountains, struck different parts of Kalat, which panicked the local residents. The RPG attacks were followed by indiscriminate firing where thousands of rounds were shot but fortunately no one was hurt by the time it was all over, they said further.
Police claimed that their retaliation forced the snipers to retreat.
In a similar incident, two RPGs were shot at a military encampment in Panjgor. Unrestrained shooting came right after the attack, but again a retaliatory fire sent the attackers packing.
