Karachi: Three including woman killed in crackdown

KARACHI: At least three persons including a woman were killed when a crackdown against local drug-dealers turned violent here on late Friday night, Geo News reported.

According to Rangers officials, a clampdown was underway against gangs selling narcotics in Landhi’s Muslimabad area, when some drug-pushers opened fire at the paramilitary troops. A retaliatory fire caught two alleged drug sellers and a passerby woman, which killed all three of them then and there, they added.

Rangers also seized large quantities of controlled substances and gambling gear during the operation.

Around three dozens of suspects were also apprehended, who were transferred to Rangers headquarters for further investigation.
