KARACHI: The Mehar brothers called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Bilawal House here on Sunday, Geo News reported.
During the meeting the notable political figures of Sindh, Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mehar, Ali Gohar Khan Mehar, and Ali Nawaz Khan Mehar apprised the President of the situation in Sindh, particularly in their area.
They also told the President about ongoing development schemes in Ghotki as well as the problems faced by the people.
According to former district Nazim Sukkur, Nasir Shah, Mehar brothers have given their word to the President on their embracing Pakistan People’s Party, the formal announcement of which will be made in a public gathering to be held in Khan Gardh this week.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, President PPP Women Wing Faryal Talpur and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah were also present in the meeting.
