Karachi: Chakki flour rate up by Rs1/kg

KARACHI: Following flourmills, chakki flour price also jacked up by Rs1/- per kilogram, which is now selling at Rs39 per kg Monday here, Geo News reported.

Chakki Atta Association sources attributed this chakki flour price hike to wheat price traversing to Rs2900 per 100 kilo.

Chakki flour price has been increased by Rs3/- per kilo during the last two months and now its price has climbed to Rs39 per kilo in retail.

Sources said it was imperative for the stability in prices that the Sindh food department by determining the release price of wheat should start selling to the flourmills in a bid to stabilize the flour prices.
