GHOTKI: Former chief Minister Sardar Ali Muhammad Meher along with his brothers announced to join Pakistan Peoples party during a joint press conference with PPP leaders at Ghotki palace on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

On the occasion, Sardar Ali Muhammad Meher, Sardar Ali Gohar and former federal minister Ali Nawaz Meher made the announcement in the presence of Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Khursheed Shah, Faryal Talpur, Sharjeel Memon, Jam Mehtab and other representatives of PPP.

Talking to press conference, the CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah welcomed the Meher brothers into the party, saying their inclusion will bring about positive political outcomes.

Qaim Ali Shah further said that President Zardari surprised his political rivals who were claiming that this government would be ousted in three months. Not only has the government completed its five-year term but the next government will also be formed by PPP along with its coalition partners.

Ali Gohar Meher said that they had joined the PPP without any condition and assured of abiding by the decisions of the party. "We don't attach significance to positions," he added.
