MD KWSB resignation rejected

KARACHI: MD Karachi Water Board (KWSB), Misbahuddin Fareed’s resignation has been rejected by the provincial Minister, Agha Sirajuddin, who directed him to continue his work.

Misbahuddin had earlier resigned after making startling disclosures about water tankers mafia. He had said that 128 illegal hydrants operating in the city out minting Rs28 billion annually by the mafia.

He said that this mafia was backed by powerful and influential persons. Even police doesn’t take action against them.
