POL prices likely to rise from September 10

ISLAMABAD: Petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) as well as CNG prices are likely to go up with the beginning of the new week from September 10, Geo News reported.

Sources told Geo News that the proposal to enhance the POL prices is under consideration in the backdrop of international oil price hikes.

According to initial assessment diesel price could be increased by Rs3.50 per litre and HOBC by Rs3.15, kerosene by Rs2 and light diesel by Rs1.50 per litre.

Sources said that the quantum of increase in petrol and CNG prices is sill being assessed, while the final upward revision in POL prices would be announced on Sunday.
