More rains forecast in most parts of country during next 24 hours
ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department on Sunday forecast widespread rain, thundershower with scattered heavy falls in all parts of the country including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.

According to detail, widespread rain/thundershower with scattered heavy falls are expected in Southern Punjab (D.G Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan divisions), Sindh including Karachi, northeast Balochistan (Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, Quetta and Kallat divisions).

While scattered rain/thundershower is likely in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Met Department also issued sever weather warning of flash flood - tropical cyclone - heavy Rainfall.

It said heavy rain would cause urban/flash floods in Sukkar, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Quetta, Kallat, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, D.G. Khan, Bhawalpur, Multan divisions on Sunday/Monday.

During last 24 hours, widespread rain/thundershower with heavy falls occurred in southern Punjab, while scattered rain/thundershower occurred in upper Punjab, Sindh, Kashmir and eastern Balochistan.

Chief amount of rainfall during last 24 hours was: Khanpur 199 mm, R.Y.Khan 123, D.G.Khan 96, Sahiwal 95, Okara 94, Multan 74, Bahawalnagar 73, N.P.Thal 67, Shorkot 66, Bahawalpur 61, T.T.Singh 55, Hyderabad 52, Jhang 47, Bahawlpur and Faisalabad 35, Thatha 32, Jaccobabad and Rohri 28, Sargodha 25, Chorr 23, Shaheed Benazirabad 21, Parachinar, Joharabad, Bhakkar and Rawalakot 20mm.

The most warm place was Turbat where maximum temperatures recorded at 43 C. Pollen count was at 171 per cubic meter.
