Anti-Islam film issue be raised at diplomatic level: Iftikhar

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Information Minister and Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Inftikhar Hussain has said that the government should raise the issue of anti-Islam film at diplomatic level.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Monday, Hussain said that the United Nation (UN) and US should also take notice of the release of the film and take measures to block the film on the Internet.

The minister said that the release of film could disrupt the peace of the world besides fomenting an atmosphere of hate across the globe.

Hussain said that the makers of the film should be punished, calling it a move to cause anger among Muslims.

He said that no Muslim in the world could tolerate such disrespect of their beloved Prophet (PBUH). He said the government was standing along with the people of the country in the matter.

He demanded the federal government to raise the issue at diplomatic level, adding that the representatives of the UN and the US should also take notice of the incident.
