SC verdict on dual nationalities historic, says Dilshad

KARACHI: Former secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Kanwar Dilshad has termed the Supreme Courts’ verdict regarding disqualification of the members of national and provincial assemblies holding dual nationalities as ‘historic’.

Talking to Geo news here on Thursday, Dilshad said that the court has given an official verdict and there is no role of Election Commission left in the case.

He said that the parliamentarians disqualified in the case have become ineligible to contest any sort of election. The disqualified parliamentarians could not even hold government office, he added.
