Mufti Muneeb announces rally against hate film on Sep 29

KARACHI: Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jamaat, a joint platform of various religious and political parties, on Wednesday announced to hold protest rally on September 29, Saturday, against anti-Islam film made in the US.

Rally would be taken out from Noorani Chowrangi to Tibet Centre at 10am, to be led by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and other religious leaders.

This was announced by Chairman ASWJ managing committee Allama Muhammad Rizwan Naqshbandi, Sahibzada Muhammad Rehan Amjad, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani and others during a press conference at Karachi Press Club.

They said rallies will start leaving different areas of the city at 9am for the venue and will converge at M.A Jinnah Road at 10am. They also appealed to traders to shut their business on the day till 3pm.

Commissioner assured them of full cooperation by the government.
