SHIKARPUR: The house of Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani came under hand grenade attack on Tuesday morning while grenades were also found from outside the houses of Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and Mir Haji Hayat Talpur, Geo News reported.
Reports said unidentified miscreants hurled hand grenade at the house of Agha Siraj due to which the main gate caught fire. Local people doused it on their own, sources said.
No loss of life was reported in the attack. Police, later, condoned off the area and started search.
On the other hand, bomb disposal squad was called in Larkana after a suspected bag was found outside the residence of Provincial Law Minister Ayaz Soomro. When searched, hand grenades were found from the bag that was placed under the minister’s car.
A letter was also found along with the grenades in which Sindh Liberation Army has claimed the responsibility of the incident.
Ayaz Soomro commented that the activists of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) cannot be threatened with such foul tactics.
The bomb disposal squad also found cracker bombs from a bag outside the residence of PPP MPA Mir Haji Hayat Talpur in Mirpur Khas.
Security around the provincial ministers’ houses has been beefed up after these incidents.
