ISLAMABAD: Memberships of as many as 45 Senators, members of National and Provincial assemblies still remain suspended after the passage of two-week time for not submitting details of their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Geo News reported on Tuesday.

The ECP on October 15 had barred 254 parliamentarians and MPAs from working as lawmakers by suspending their memberships.

Sources in the ECP said that the memberships of 109 lawmakers had been restored while memberships of Senator Lashkari Raisani, MNA Humayun Aziz Kurd and Awais Leghari besides 34 MPAs from Punjab, three from Sindh, and one from Balochitan were still suspended.
