FO terms speculations on Imran Farooq probe premature
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Saturday said that it would be premature to speculate about the investigations into the murder case of MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq, Geo News reported.

In a statement, the foreign office expressed the hope that the investigations would lead to an end to misgivings about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

It said that the MQM was an important ally of the government and it represented secular forces in Pakistan.

Brushing aside news and speculations about the raid on MQM supremo Altaf Hussain’s business address, Mustafa Azizabadi, a member of the party’s Coordination Committee, said speculations doing rounds for the last two days were wrong.
