KARACHI: Security has been beefed up at airports across the country in the wake of botched attack on Peshawar’s Bacha Khan airport, Geo News reported on Monday.

Police patrolling has been increased while Rangers check-posts have also been set up at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

The Airport Security Force (ASF) has rearranged security measures at all the commercial airports in the country. Security sphere has also been expanded from terminal building to tarmac at the Jinnah International Airport.

The ASF sought assistance from the Rangers and police as part of additional security measures around the airport.

Police and security agencies have been collecting information regarding the new comers and tenants in the adjoining localities.

ASF Director Intelligence said foreign airlines had expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements.
