ISLAMABAD: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has decided to move reference against the Supreme Court registrar in the parliament.
A session of PAC of the national assembly, chaired by Nadeem Afzal Chun, met here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, it was unanimously decided to send reference against the Supreme Court registrar in the parliament.
Chairman PAC Nadeem Afzal Chun said that it would be the decision of parliament whether to pass on the reference to Supreme Court or amend the law.
It is pertinent to mention here that the registrar Dr Faqir Hussain refused to appear before the PAC for the settlement of court’s account.
The registrar was on the view that the committee lacked constitutional support to summon him.
