14 year old anti-polio campaign volunteer killed in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A fourteen year old female volunteer of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) anti-polio campaign was killed here on Tuesday.

According to police, Farzana was on her way to administer polio drops to children when she was shot by an unknown gunman riding a motorcycle.
She was rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Following the attack, the WHO has advised to stop the polio campaign throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
