Secretary Balochistan Assembly criticises no-trust motion

QUETTA: The secretary Balchistan Assembly has said that the procedure adopted for submitting no-trust motion against Speaker Aslam Bhutani was against rules and regulations, Geo News reported.

Speaking to media in his chamber on Wednesday, he said that speaker’s permission was requisite for any proceeding.

He said, the permission for the motion was granted by the deputy speaker. He said that 22 MPAs signed the resolution. He added one-quarter of lawmakers should have given their approval by standing in support of the motion but the counting was not carried out in the house.

The secretary said he had informed the MPAs about the rules and regulation but to no avail.He was of the view that Mr Bhootani would remain on his post till December 25.
