Balochistan Assembly to elect speaker, deputy speaker today

QUETTA The Balochistan Assembly is all set to elect its speaker and deputy speaker today (Monday) while on the other hand the Balochistan High Court would take up a petition moved by the former speaker Aslam Bhootani, challenging his removal through a no-trust motion, Geo News reported.

The assembly session which is scheduled to be held around 11:00 am will elect speaker and the deputy speaker.

Sources said that all the parties agreed in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Aslam Raisani over the nomination of Matiullah Agha as the speaker while name of Basant Lal was being considered for the post of deputy speaker.
