Cold, dry weather likely across country

ISLAMABAD: According to met office mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twenty-four hours.

Severe cold wave conditions would continue to prevail over upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa‚ Gilgit-Baltistan‚ and Balochistan during the next several days. It stated that dense foggy condition is likely to intensify in plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper areas of Sindh during the next several days. The lowest minimum temperature of minus fourteen degree centigrade was recorded in Skardu.

It was minus eleven in Kalam‚ minus ten in Qalat‚ minus nine in Hunza‚ minus seven in Gopis and Quetta‚ minus six in Gilgit‚ minus five in Dalbandin and minus four degree centigrade in Drosh‚ Dir‚ Rawalakot‚ and Malam Jabba. The minimum temperature recorded in some major cities was:-Islamabad and Lahore three degrees centigrade‚ Karachi eight‚ Peshawar two and Muzaffarabad two‚ and Murree minus one degree centigrade.
