Measles devour 5 more kids in Jaccobabad

KARACHI: Measles gulped down lives of five more children in Jaccobabad as an immunization campaign continues in the city along with Sukkur and Ghotki to control the disease.

Children affected by measles in various areas including Tehsil Salhpat of Sukkur, Rohri, Pannu Aqil are being shifted to hospitals.

However, authorities have failed to put a curb on the spread of disease in Ghotki. According to EDO Health, centres have been set up at hospitals to deal with the cases of measles.

Immunization of children is underway in Jaccobabad, Shikarpur, Tangwani, Thul and Kandhkot under a prevention campaign being carried out by Sindh Health Department.
