KARACHI: The recently acquitted and released Ajmal Pahari has been arrested again by the Karachi police over twelve new charges, including four murder cases Wednesday, Geo News reported.
According to police, the twelve new cases that include four murder cases were registered in Joharabad police station. He went missing mysteriously soon after his release but today the Karachi police has made the news of his arrest public.
Mystery shrouded the sudden disappearance of Ajmal Siddiqi alias Ajmal Pahari, the alleged target killer who was released on January 18, 2013 from the Karachi Central Prison after being acquitted in 11 cases of murder, despite his on-camera confessions of involvement in at least 111 murders, and the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) thrilling report on his alleged crimes.
Pahari’s wife had alleged that the Karachi police had handed over his husband to the intelligence agencies instead of setting him free as per the court orders, the agencies said Pahari was released in the presence of a large number of MQM workers from Karachi’s Central Prison on January 18 and he must have gone underground following directives from his bosses to avoid his possible arrest in the remaining cases.
