Pillion riding banned in Buner for one day

BUNER: Authorities concerned have imposed ban on pillion riding on last day of anti-polio vaccination campaign in district Buner on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

According to deputy commissioner Buner, Muhammad Ayaz, ban has been imposed under section 144 and it will be effective till midnight today so that vaccination teams perform their duties without any fear.

Ban has been imposed after Tuesday’s attack on polio team in Swabi in which a cop was killed and a lady health worker sustained wounds, DC said.

Patrolling has been beefed up while police personnel have also been deployed for anti-polio teams’ security, D.C added.
