25 more doctors dismissed over uninformed leaves

Lahore: Punjab government has fired another 25 doctors over uninformed leave of more than a year, which sums up the total number of terminated doctors to 120, Geo News reported Monday.

According to the notification issued by Punjab Ministry of Health, the doctors were issued show cause notices which remained unanswered, resultantly the department sacked them.

The heath ministry said the fired doctors are reported to have already been in service on foreign lands.

Action against other 215 doctors on prolonged uninformed leave is currently in progress, the ministry added.
