LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Munawar Hassan has said that he did not see a major alliance on national level for the next general elections, Geo News reported.
Talking to media persons after a condolence reference, organized by Islamabad High Bar Association for Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Professor Ghafoor Ahmed, Munawar Hassan said although Maulana Fazlur Rehman had restored Muttahida Majlis Amal, there is no one in it except him (Maualana Fazl-ur-Rehman).
Hassan said elections could be a means to bring about a revolution in the country.
He alleged that Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan had got released all the accused arrested in Karachi.
To a question, JI Amir said Taliban’s offer for negotiations should be accepted.
