UAE court to issue Tauqeer Sadiq's deportation order today
ABU DHABI: Former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chairman Tauqeer Sadiq, allegedly involved in Rs82 billion scam, would likely to be deported from the United Arab Emirates following the proceedings in UAE court today, sources said.

According to the sources, all the procedures have been completed in Abu Dhabi and Tauqeer Sadiq would expected to be brought back to Pakistan via Interpol today.

The decision was taken in a meeting of Ambassador to UAE Jamil Ahmed and NAB Director Irfan Baig with UAE Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Dubai Interpol team would hand over Tauqeer Sadiq to Pakistani Interpol team, sources told.

He will be presented before the Abu Dhabi court today where it will deliver Sadiq’s deportation orders.

Following the court’s orders, the Pakistani High Commission will issue Tauqeer Sadiq’s‘out-pass, but due to weekly holidays of Friday and Saturday in UAE, it is likely that the High Commission will remain open to issue Tauqeer Sadiq’s out-pass.

Sources also added that Tauqeer Sadiq is likely to be extradited to Pakistan in the next 24 to 36 hours.
