KARACHI: An official mourning day is being observed here today (Monday) over the loss of lives in a bomb explosion that occurred in Abbas Town area of the metropolis.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah announced to observe Monday as official day of mourning following a high-intensity bomb killed 45 people and injured over 140 others in Abbas Town Sunday evening.
According to the official announcement, the national flags will remain at half-mast on all the government buildings while Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also cancelled all his official engagements and directed the local administration to actively participate in the relief activities.
All the government institutions would also remain closed today
