Karachi: About two dozen suspects detained in Orangi Town

KARACHI: In a bid to somewhat check the crimes, rampant in Pakistan’s commercial hub, a predawn crackdown in Oragni Town yielded at least 23 allegedly armed and dangerous suspects, Geo News reported.

Sources said the police, in the wee hours of Thursday, conducted raids in some of the seedy parts of Orangi Town and brought in about two-dozen of alleged offenders for further interrogation.

According to DSP Zahid Hussain, four of the suspects were picked up from Islamia Colony, seven from Frontier Colony, three from Metroville Colony, four from MPR Colony, whereas five alleged felons were collared from near Chati Hotel.

He further added that a pistol was also recovered from one of the detained suspects.

All the suspects are locked up in Orangi Town Police Station.
