Government should protect its citizens at all costs: Altaf

LONDON: The leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has condemned the bomb blast in Landhi's Old Muzaffarabad Colony area, which resulted in the deaths of three people here on late Thursday night, Geo News reported

In a statement issued here, he expressed grief and sorrow on the deaths of persons and injuries to many others in the blast, which targeted a cable operator's office.

The MQM leader offered his sympathies to the grieving family members and prayed for the people who lost their lives as well as for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He also demanded of the government to evolve a national consensus in order to combat terrorism effectively.

"The president, the prime minister, the federal interior minister, the governor, and the chief minister should take notice of this incident and take immediate action", said he.
